Galway’s Land National Park
The Galway’s Land National Park is considered to be one of the most significant birding areas of the central highlands. Protecting an untarnished montane ecosystem, the park has become a haven for several bird species. According to research, 20 rare migrant species along with 30 native species, thrive in the ecosystem of the park, making it the perfect setting for the bird watching enthusiast. A 2km walking trail which starts at the park office is pretty easy, and well suited for kids. The park is located about 3km outside of Nuwara Eliya.
