Moon Plains

One of the newer nature reserves in the country, Moon Plains is a charming landscape that is perfect for both the adventure buff and nature enthusiast. It is located about 6km away from Nuwara Eliya. The trails here are great for hiking and cycling.

Amongst the verdant greenery of the plains lie some of the more spectacular fauna in the country, such as elk, buffalo and deer, along with a number of bird species that dwell among the treetops. However, its masterpiece is the Mini World’s End – an area in which offers unfettered views of the island’s picturesque mountainous landscape.
